Q: Is AccountrixXP the same as Millie? If so, why the name change?
A: RMP legally purchased Millie the Landscaper's Assistant (for DOS), Millie for Windows, and Landscapes 2000 trademarks and source codes
back when we were still selling Millie. We changed the name to Accountrix, then AccountrixXP
to better reflect the many markets our program now reaches.
AccountrixXP has retained the same hallmark features that
made its predecessor the most sought after software for
landscapers. We then added
significant enhancements, as well
as full General Ledger and D.E.C. modules.
Q: Can I do more than just bill customers?
A: Yes. AXP allows you keep detailed records of vendors and
employees, as well as customers.
You can maintain a custom list of services; schedule, route, complete jobs, generate proposals, invoices, address labels, and reports; as well
as print checks to pay suppliers; and handle all payroll functions. It is a complete package following all standard accounting practices.
Q: Will I lose or have to re-enter all my data if I am still using Millie?
A: No. Millie (for DOS) version 6.0 or higher and Millie for Windows are still upgradable. Versions preceding them are not.
Call RMP for pricing and to arrange sending us a backup to convert all your data to the new program.
Q: Is AXP compatible with all Windows operating systems?
A: AXP is compatible with ONLY Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista. However, if you are currently using Windows 98 with Millie or
Accountrix, we can upgrade you to AXP. Call RMP for pricing and to send in your backup. XP and Vista users upgrading to AXP can
run the conversion right from their PC.
Q: What kind of equipment should I have to run AXP?
A: An Intel Pentium-4 2 gigahertz with 512 Megs RAM, 40 gigabytes 7200 hard drive, 20x CD-ROM and video
graphics card with 64 megs, or better.
